Project Context
As a technical partner for digital agency MDT, I have led the technical overhaul of the educational platform NeuroClass. The objective was to provide high-demand technical development and maintenance for e-learning platforms, translating Figma prototypes into production-ready code on their live infrastructure without disrupting daily academy operations.
The Challenge
An outdated UI was dragging down sales, but a full rebuild was out of the question with thousands of active learners. The site also suffered from performance bottlenecks during traffic surges, bot attacks, and synchronization errors between WooCommerce purchases and LearnDash course enrollments.
Technical Solutions
- Custom Native Code: I rebuilt the cart, checkout, and header templates using clean PHP and CSS strictly following Figma specifications.
- Page Builder Optimization: I developed custom WPBakery widgets via clean code, along with Custom Post Types and Advanced Custom Fields, making it seamless for the marketing team to insert and edit landing page content.
- Infrastructure & Security: I assisted with the AWS migration, configured Cloudflare (WAF and caching rules to block malicious traffic), integrated dedicated SMTP via Mandrill, and set up two-factor authentication (2FA) for admin access.
- Continuous Maintenance: I took on ongoing technical support for new landing pages, integrations, and server stability monitoring during high-concurrency launches.
Results & Impact
- Modern & Functional Interface: The new purchase funnel reduced checkout friction and visually unified the platform with the broader NeuroClass brand ecosystem, providing a seamless user transition.
- Stability & Security: Since the AWS migration and Cloudflare WAF setup, the platform has registered zero downtime or security incidents, even during peak promotional traffic spikes.
- Operational Savings: Reduced dependency on third-party plugins and eliminated manual admin support for student access issues.
